Surgery report Procedure - Performed by - Surgery time - 0 minutes Pre-medicated with torb 1 mg/kg IM, then anesthetized via isoflurane facemask and intubated with 5.0 uncuffed ET tube. Placed bird in Dorsal recumbency. Pulled blood feathers 8, 1 and dorsal covert 1 - 8 bled heavily, had to hold pressure and apply curaspon to site to achieve hemostasis. Bruising post bleeding noted. Pulled central tail feathers, old blood present where L primary 7 had previously been pulled, cleaned site out. Minor keel wound noted. Gave bird 0.47cc vit K IM. Checked all site to make sure no further bleeding seen. Bird recovered uneventfully from anesthesia and was moved back outside.
